Fixing GPX Files

Fixing GPX Files

Last update: 10th March 2022

So you have had a go with our map design tool and are hitting an error.  GPX files can be a bit different from each other depending on how they were recorded and uploaded - the best way I have found to normalise them is below.

Step 1
Head to plotaroute.com and upload your current GPX file

Upload GPX to plotaroute

Step 2
Find your file and upload it

Find the file

Step 3
Download the file. Right down at the bottom of the screen you can find the D'LOAD button.

Download

Step 4
Leave everything as is and get the new GPX downloaded.

Download

Step 5
Thats it. Upload it back into our system. Apologies about that. Its something to do with how your original GPX was created using Points rather than a Track.

If you need any further help send me an email and I'll be happy to help.
